REVIEW: Etude House Zero Sebum Drying Powder
As expected, it has a cute packaging with a mix of pastel green and white colour. For me, the package has just the right size "feel" and it actually is quite thin and easily fits in my pocket and whatever empty small compartment in my bag. I also find its powder very finely milled and it feels REALLY smooth on my face.
This product claims to provide clear skin without dryness or flakiness. 💆 It's embarrassing to say, but I knew that my skin fell in love with this matte powder because the first time I applied the powder on my face, my usually VERY VERY OIL skin didn't became oily at all! The powder does great in drying the excess sebum on my oily T-zone and controlling the sebum secretion. Furthermore, it doesn't feel puffy and flaky on my skin. 😯 And for me, the effect could last about 10 to 12 hours long. Simply amazing!!! But for its claim about not drying the skin, erm I guess using a minuscule amount of the powder wouldn't really matter because it's so little that I don't even realize it's there and I can't be sure if it doesn't really dry , my skin or its me who don't notice. It works out just fine for me because my skin didn't dry out after using this drying powder. Moreover, this drying powder actually did made my blackheads easier to be cleansed with cleansing foam, yeah! Those normally tenacious blackheads just magically goes away after i wash my face (thoroughly) .
This powder is made up of 80% of mineral powder without any talc , animal ingredients, mineral oil artificial scent and pigments.
One more thing that I need to give credits to is its superfine fiber puff which feels soooooo soft ~ which gives a satisfying feeling that we are pampering ourselves. ( which we actually are haha )
As for the ingredients, I am surprised that it contains a lot of plant extract. That's a good point right? At last it isn't made from completely artificial ingredients 😬

As you can see, it actually has a large amount of different type of citrus extract in it which I am afraid might be harsh on my slightly sensitive skin but , it turns out that I had been worrying too much haha! It does have alcohol ( which I am sensitive to ) in it, but It might just be in trace amounts as I cant feel anything abnormal after wearing the powder on which is good news.
And here comes the smell, it actually has a smell that is similar to lemon basil? With a slight hint of citrus smell. For a citrus scent lover, I love it 😆
The only downside I found is that this product is quite pricey because this tiny pack of powder demands a staggering RM49..... ! ( for a college student ) at my local étude house shop which might deter a lot of customer from buying this little wonder.
Pros:
Great in drying sebum!
Last long ( up to 12 hours )
Nice scent
Feels smooth on skin
Handy packaging
Cons:
A bit pricey
Would I recommend this product?
Absolutely yes! ( for oily skin ). This is an amazing product from etude house which reduces sebum efficiently!
My rating: 4.5 / 5.
That's it! Stay tuned!
